8th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C. & Gettysburg: Sign Up by 11/16!
8th Graders are invited to join MBMS English & Journalism teacher, Ms. Rachel Thomas, on an educational trip to Washington, D.C. and Gettysburg, March 31-April 5, 2018. This is not just a fun sight-seeing trip--it has a civics focus on being a better citizen, and our responsibility as Americans to take part in our communities. Manhattan Beach is exploring the next steps for evolving its fiber infrastructure. Please take the broadband survey--the quality and reliability of communication technology in Manhattan Beach impacts how we learn, work and play so we need to hear from you! Be Part of the Hermosa Beach Sister City Association (HBSCA) Student Exchange Program! 
7th and 8th Grade students in the South Bay are invited to be part of this award-winning, Congressionally-recognized student exchange program over Spring Break, April 1-8, 2018.

For over 43 years, HBSCA has sponsored students in a cultural exchange program with its Sister City Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Click here for their website, and here for an informational flyer.
