ASSISTEENS - Volunteer Opportunity

ASSISTEENS®, a co-ed youth volunteer auxiliary of the Assistance League, encourages and provides volunteer opportunities for youth in grades 7 through 12. The organization is hosting a membership event, and you can click here to learn more about it.

The goals are to develop a sense of community responsibility, self-reliance, personal responsibility, poise, public speaking, and leadership skills. Assisteens volunteer their time and support various ongoing philanthropic programs that benefit their community. Assiteens is also a certifying agency for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The Assistance League, founded in 1919, has a long tradition of service in the South Bay.

The young women and men of Assisteens have volunteered through our organization for 90 years, today members commit to “Transforming Lives - Strengthening Communities." Last year, more than 2,400 Assisteens and the Assistance League volunteered more than 2.8 million hours, returned $37.7 million to local communities, and touched the lives of more than 1.4 million children, seniors, families, and others in need.

Please contact the Assisteens membership chairperson, Eunah Honma, at [email protected] for more information and to RSVP to the membership event.
